Lake Oswego Schools have two high schools that are separated by the lake. To the north Lake Oswego High School and south Lakeridge High School.
Each high school has a middle school and several elementary schools that feed into the schools to the north and south of the lake.

A long standing passion for the arts began in 1952 with the formation of the Lakewood Theatre Company spearheaded by Lake Oswego residents. In 2003 the Lakewood Theatre Company built a $3 million auditorium with 220 seats. Most programs reach 90% capacity from mostly pre-sold subscription packages.
